Design systems
Catalogue and rich content turned into a modern design system.
UX/UI design
Key opportunities to streamline the website while enhancing its visual appeal.
Faux E-commerce Solution
Lead generation using an 'enquiry basket,' allowing users to enquire about multiple products simultaneously.
Additional website features were introduced to simplify product searches and improve site navigation, resulting in a higher number of visitors converting into enquiries. A key concept in this project was the requirement of a faux-ecommerce basket where users could book machinery hire with two clicks. This made navigation and lead generation almost the same function.
Streamlined Design Approach
Our initial research identified key opportunities to streamline the website while enhancing its visual appeal.
Managing a Large Product Catalogue
With over 800 products listed, it was crucial to provide users with easy access to make enquiries. To address this, a mega-navigation was developed, offering a clear and simple display of all categories and products. Additionally, a new search function was introduced, enabling users to find relevant products quickly by searching for specific keywords.
Charles Wilson operates twenty hire shops across the UK. To support this, the website features a built-in depot locator that allows users to enter their address and find the nearest depots within a 30-mile radius.
